Ashton: William John Ashton Taylor worked for Dunhill for over 25 years, becoming, ultimately, while in the employ of Dunhill, top production manager and quality control manager, until he struck out on his own and actually perfected the oil-curing process Dunhill is famous for. The Ashton pipe brand has shook the world of pipes, with pipes that are --each and every one is unique and special—they all are hand-turned on a lathe, they have character—and they smoke very sweet and mellow from the first bowlful of tobacco. Each Ashton is a collector’s item.

| Brebbia
|
It was in 1947 when Enea Buzzi and his cousin Achille Savinelli, whose father managed a retail tobacconist’s shop selling smoker’s products in Milan, decided to manufacture pipes.
An agreement was reached to sell the pipes under the name Savinelli to take advantage of the shop’s name that was well-known at the time.
In 1976 the company name was changed to Pipe Brebbia Srl but still keeping the characteristic family management.

Castello pipes: The best of Italian pipes, founded by Carlo Scotti, in 1943 was licensed, and Castello pipes are crafted by Artisans, not made by automated machinery, but with hands of wonderful creativity, heart and imagination. True works of art—that are some of the best smoking pipes to be had. The Castello pipes are also known for their dry sweet smoke, because of the curing method of the briar wood—of which they obtain the finest—the briar wood ages at least 10 years, before they craft a pipe.
