Greg introduces his new “Old London Series” with Chelsea Morning. Comprised of a variety of sweet red and yellow virginias, fragrant orientals, a measure of rich Cyprus Latakia, and a pinch of L.A. Poche’s brilliant Acadian perique. The leaf is blended in layers and briefly pressed to integrate the flavours before being sliced and tumbled into short ribbons. The final form is between a broken-flake and a ribbon-cut tobacco. It’s easy to pack, easy to smoke, and is a great blend with which to start the day with the morning cup. The flavours are lively and engaging, with a subtle fruitiness and gentle smokiness that wakes up the palate.

a "microblender".
As he has stated
himself:
"Tobacco is our passion, blending, our art, and science,
our toolbox.
I first became enchanted by the leaf while a starving college
student. Though I'd smoked a pipe intermittently for a couple
years (inspired first by a High School science teacher, whose
delightful pipe smoke is one of my fondest memories), I didn't
realize just how enjoyable a good tobacco could be until I walked
into Drucquer & Sons, a true old world tobacconist's, and
my education began. I spent a lot of my free time in the shop,
extracting every bit of understanding I could from the knowledgeable
staff.
Over the past 20 years, I've continued my love affair with fine
pipes and tobacco. In early 1998, one of my dreams became a
reality when a friend and I started a small company to produce
quality pipe mixtures, some of which have become well known.
In November of 1999, I blended the last of the tobacco to be
sold under that label, but the passion continued to smolder
like the tobacco in my pipe.
It is with that same passion that I am pleased to announce the
creation of G. L. Pease Tobaccos. I promise to keep the art
alive, and I dedicate this company to all who enjoy pipe smoking
